Sorority

Sisterhood is a major part of sorority life — it is a group of people who embrace you for who you are and help you develop your character as well as providing a variety of new opportunities to foster personal development. You create a bond with those around you through something deeper than friendship as you all are united due to similar interests. Bonding is a part of sisterhood which is encouraged through sisterhood events which are activities designed to bring everyone closer together.

Service is a large part around Greek Life, all sororities have a philanthropy that they fundraise for, volunteer at, and support throughout the course of every year. One way this is displayed throughout Greek Life on Wesleyan’s campus is with the annual Penny Wars battle where change is collected for each organizations philanthropy and then totaled at the end of the time frame to earn points for our annual Greek Week competition!

Leadership is an essential part of your time spent in Greek Life, in order for the organizations to run an executive committee is formed and voted on my members of each individual organization. Here you can choose positions that suit your interests and help you develop essential skills such as: organization, time management, marketing, public speaking, decision making, critical listening, conflict resolution, and many more!
